Phoenix, AZ Independent Viking bench
The burner clicks.
The oven lies.
We settle it.
Viking ranges, wall ovens, built-in refrigeration and dishwashers, repaired across the valley by people who work on nothing else. You get a reading, then a written range, then a decision — in that order.
- On the road 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days
- Line answered 24/7
- Service call $89, credited against the repair
02In their words
Three calls, told by the people who paid for them.
What the kitchen was doing, what it turned out to be, and what happened next. Nothing here has been shortened to fit the card.

Compressor never shut off and you could feel heat coming off the grille. The coils were caked and a fan blade had cracked. Both handled in one visit, and he wrote down a cleaning interval.
Everardo L.South Mountain
Our fridge crept into the mid fifties during a week of 115-degree afternoons. The condenser was blanketed in dust and lint. He vacuumed it out, replaced a tired fan, and it has held ever since.
Ignacio V.Estrella
Oven read 350 but sat nearer 300, so every roast ran long. He recalibrated against his own probe and fitted a new sensor. Honest about all of it. Took two trips to get the part in.
Cleve M.Estrella
Every job above was run by this workshop in Phoenix.
03 What we fix
Four machines, one bench, no general-appliance guesswork.
Everything below is Viking equipment and nothing else. The symptoms are the ones callers actually describe — if yours is on this list, we have almost certainly closed the same fault this month.

04 Apart, then not
A repair is two hours of looking and twenty minutes of turning screws.
Both halves are photographed on jobs like yours. The first is the part people never see and pay for anyway; the second is the only part anybody remembers.
01 Apart What an hour of diagnosis looks like
The assembly out, and every fastener that held it laid on a cloth in the order it came off. Nothing is replaced at this stage — this is only the part where we find out what is actually wrong.
02 Back together What you are left with
Reassembled, flame checked across every burner, cavity brought back up to temperature against our own probe, and the old part left on the counter for you to look at.
05 Asked and answered
The six questions the phone asks before anything else.
What does a visit cost before any repair is agreed?
A flat $89 service call covers the drive, the diagnosis and the written price. If you approve the repair, that $89 comes off the total — it is not an extra on top. Repairs themselves land between $170–$2,980 depending on which part failed, and you see the range for your fault before anything is dismantled.
Do you give a price before you start work?
Always, and always as a range rather than a single number, because the same symptom can turn out to be a cheap sensor or a control board. The technician measures first, tells you the band your fault sits in, and nothing comes apart until you have said yes.
Is it worth repairing an older unit or should I replace it?
Usually worth repairing. Replacing the machine — a comparable Viking replacement, before installation — runs $7,200–$16,940, so even a sealed-system job is a fraction of that, and the cabinetry, the panels and the install all stay where they are. We will say plainly when a machine is past it.
How fast can someone get out to me?
The crew is on the road 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days, and the line is answered 24/7. Calls booked in the morning usually get a slot the same day across Estrella, Alhambra, South Mountain, Garfield.
Do you carry parts on the van?
The common failures for this equipment ride with us: igniters, spark modules, thermostats, sensors, hinge springs, drain pumps, fan motors. Control boards and sealed-system parts are ordered against your serial number, which is why we ask for it on the phone.
Is this an authorised Viking service centre?
No — this is an independent workshop. We are not affiliated with Viking Range, LLC, and we say so on every page. What we are is a bench that works on this equipment every week and buys genuine parts for it.
06 How a visit runs
Three stages, and you are told the number in the third one.
-
On the phone
Model and serial number, what changed, and when. Half of the Phoenix calls we take get narrowed to two or three candidates before anyone gets in the van, which is what keeps the right part on board.
-
On the bench
Panels off, meter on, readings written down. You are welcome to watch — most people do, and most people end up knowing more about their own kitchen than they wanted to.
-
On the invoice
Parts and labour as a range, agreed out loud before anything is dismantled, with the $89 already deducted. No line item appears that you have not heard about first.
Flat $89 service call covering the visit and full diagnosis, credited against the repair once you approve it.
07 Why this bench
Four things you can hold us to.
-
Readings, not hunches
A meter goes on the circuit before a part comes off the shelf. If the reading says the board another shop condemned is fine, that is what you get told.
-
The number comes first
A written range for your fault, agreed before a panel is opened. The $89 service call is credited against it the moment you approve the work.
-
Built for this valley
Dust-packed venturis after a haboob, condensers loaded at 115 degrees, spray arms scaled shut by the hardest water in the state. These are the four faults we see most.
-
One trade, one brand of kitchen
Ranges, wall ovens, built-in refrigeration and dishwashers from a single maker. Narrow enough that the fault library is in someone’s head, not a manual.
08 Book the visit
Say what it is doing. We will tell you what it usually is.
Model and serial number off the plate, what the machine is doing, and roughly when it started. That is usually enough to narrow it to two or three candidates before anyone gets in the van.
09 Where we drive
Four districts on the daily run sheet.
Routes are planned around these, which is why a call placed in the morning usually gets a slot the same day rather than a promise about next week.
